What is Sex Shop TV?

Sex Shop TV is a film written with the internet in mind and designed to be released in installments.

The films duration consists of 10, 45 minute episodes.

Through this site, we would like to take the opportunity to introduce Sex shop TV, hopefully gain and review the audience's feedback, and use this as our basis to move on to its production.

We shot fifteen scenes from the first few episodes, which outline the basic Sex Shop characters and give you a taste of what is to follow.

Why choose the internet?

The internet is to a large extent, the means by which my work has become known. I have a very good relationship with it and I use it several times a day. It also offers me a great deal on a creative level. A freedom of expression parallel to that found in cinema, access to an
audience in an easy and economical way, distribution independence and the knowledge that the work can be seen by an audience outside of Greece.

Those are the reasons that make me want this project to reach people through the internet.

Two and a half months later...

Two and a half months after the "prologue" has been up and subject to your feedback, we would like to take the opportunity to share some thoughts with you.

First and foremost, we would like to thank everyone who helped, in one way or another, to make the website known ( by telling their friends about us via email, embedding the "prologue" or trailer in their websites or blogs, or even simply through word of mouth).
We were expecting a decent amount of visits, but keeping in mind that it was summer, we never expected such a turnout. We know that these figures are largely down to these peoples efforts.

We would also like to thank those of you who took the time to post a comment on our website. We have taken everything you said on board, and some of your ideas are being examined further by our team. The conclusions that can be drawn are clear to us now.
You liked Sex Shop TV and so we feel we should go ahead and shoot it.

This realization gives us the strength that we need to continue down the production path to completion. Besides, we haven't yet finished our website and its contents.

In a few days, we are going to post the "prologue" with English and Spanish subtitles. The German and French subs are also in the process of being completed and will soon come together to provide a complete proposal.

That is the moment that will truly be the "premiere" for us.

A global, web premiere of Sex Shop tv.

Before any of that however, we would like our friends opinions. The opinions of people who have seen us before and with which we share a special bond.

This is the "audience" that we are most concerned with, and the people who we want to offer to, most of all.

Sex Shop tv's story will be completed with 10, 45-50 min. episodes. We in turn, will cut every episode into 4 parts and present it to you once a week. This means that we will have 40 smaller episodes, of about 12 mins. each.
We decided to follow similar examples of attempts made around the globe, primarily in order to make viewing easier and more enjoyable.
This seems to have been the ideal duration for the "prologue" if your reviews are anything to go by. We are aware however, that we also have more traditional friends out there, and for this reason we will be uploading the whole episode at the end of the month.

Sex Shop tv is for us, a seven and a half hour long film, and we will work with this in mind. On the other hand, the fact that it is divided into episodes automatically renders it a series, so that in turn makes this project our proposal of how to "make a series".

This is a series that uses professional terminology, picture and sound quality, sets, costumes, make-up and music written and recorded specifically for this project. It is a show featuring a high calibre cast, alot of work, endless rehearsals, creative freedom and an insatiable appetite among everyone.

On the other hand, everyone who works on the production of Sex Shop tv and its appearance on our website, should be rewarded for their efforts.
Production will no doubt be quite costly, and we know full well that noone is going to get rich over night. Far from it in fact, especially if we are to take the "economic crisis" into account, and the fact that, as a result, series that are shown on private tv channels are currently being axed from one day to the next.

The fact that we are a team, will help us get through many of the objective difficulties that we face now and possibly in the future. Whichever way one looks at it however, funding is needed and we don't want our viewers to provide it. The only solutions to this situation are promotional banners and sponsors, and this is the direction in which we are moving, while making sure not to compromise our vision. Without the help of grey advertising and people intervening in our work. We need a sponsorship that respects us on a creative level and also honours you as an audience.

We have a budget that is equal to or a little lower than that of a television show, and we believe that people will watch us more and more over time, they will like what they see, they'll watch it again with friends and cherish it.

I concluded with the productions issues, which admittedly are not my strong point, and now I would like to share a couple of thoughts about the show and what you saw in the "prologue". The thinking behind the "prologue" was to show you some clips form the first few episodes, so that you could get an idea of the storyline, the subplots, the main characters and the general vibe of the show.

On the other hand, we didn't want to unveil everything, and rob the finished episodes of their intrigue. So we decided to "risk it" with the prologue, and save the best for last.

If you did like the prologue, I have one thing to say. You ain't seen nothing yet...
